My approach

I am a marriage and family therapist who loves working with couples and individuals. I believe every person I work with has a different story, different wounds, different strengths, and different dreams. Therefore, my goal is to create a space where we can work together through the challenges you are facing in a way that meets your individual needs and puts you on the path to healing and greater life satisfaction. I have over twenty years of experience working as a social worker with foster and adoptive families. This experience has taught me a lot about the impact of trauma and the challenges we face as we navigate the world with varying levels of support from our families, be it biological, adoptive, or family of choice. I am passionate about working with couples facing significant conflict and individuals struggling with issues of self-worth and life transitions. I tend to have a gentle but direct approach and strive to challenge you while supporting you on the journey towards your goals.

Therapy for all

I strive to create a comfortable and nonjudgemental space for every client. This includes those whose identity and life path is different from my own. I am a lifelong learner, and I continue to educate myself in areas where I lack lived experience and/or understanding. I have had the great privilege of working with and learning from a variety of clients. Finding a therapist who is a good fit is important. This is why I offer a free, no-obligation 15 minute phone consultation. If you or I determine for any reason we are not a good fit, I will work to refer you to a therapist who can best meet your needs.
